Lecksuch-Workshop in China

For a country with 20% of the world's population but only 6% of the world's freshwater resources, China faces significant water scarcity problems. Despite an extensive national water supply network, a rapidly growing population places increasing strain on a network that suffers from aging infrastructure and inadequate management. Despite major initiatives by the Ministry of Housing and Urban and Rural Development (MOHURD), China has a national water loss rate of around 21%, which corresponds to around 37 m3 / km / day.

Echologics recently held a week-long training workshop on leak detection in Xiamen, China. In cooperation with the Xiamen Anyue Trenchless Engineering Technology Company, a leading company for pipe rehabilitation technology, one of our experienced specialists was on site to conduct training in the theory of leak detection and its application in local water networks by means of live demonstrations. Participants included network managers from local water utilities and pipe rehabilitation engineers who want to improve their service offering. The training provided insights into the theory of leak detection and its application through first-hand practical experience.

In addition to providing leak detection technology to combat water loss, Echologics is committed to educating users on how to get the most out of it. The right technology is only part of the equation; At Echologics, we strive to give our customers a basic understanding of where and when they can be used, and how to use them properly. Our training workshops are an excellent platform to build capacities through knowledge transfer and will be a regular part of our business development in China.
