Who should attend
Water works operators and maintenance personnel, utilities staff and supervisors.
Training method
Interactive, on-site training in a classroom environment. Then concepts are put to use in our practical fieldwork session.
Learning objectives
Participants will gain the knowledge to have a better understanding of finding leaks in a water distribution system. They will be taught the various methods and different types of equipment that are available to identify and find leaks. Basic acoustic theory will be covered so that students have a better understanding of leak noise. The increased knowledge of locating leaks including pinpointing leaks with a correlator will improve the success of finding actual leaks when working in the field
