LEAK DETECTION ESSENTIALS

This is an on-site hands-on course designed to provide participants with a well-rounded knowledge of leak detection, including the causes and implications of leakage as it relates to your specific water distribution system. Various equipment and methods will be demonstrated to aid students in pinpointing leaks in locations of unaccounted water loss.

By learning about the frequency of leaks in different types and sizes of water mains, participants will have a better understanding of leak noise sounds. Students will also learn how to find leaks using a correlator and deal with field issues that arise. The skills and techniques you learn in the classroom will have you ready for the fieldwork portion of the course.
